    A couple of questions
    1. Is there a way to tell when your relievers are warmed up?
    2. Can you view a pitchers pitch ratings? Fastball 95, changeup 93 etc.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

    1. If there's a way to tell, I haven't found it yet.
    2. Anytime you have roster list just highlight the player and press square. Then you can check out his stats, ratings, and scouting report. It's really cool.

Can anyone tell me if they improved upon the 'wiffle ball' pitching?....From the videos I have seen it appears as if the pitchers are pitching into a huge fan. The ball just looks too floaty and whats up with the pitcher windups in the videos, they look like they are pitching batting practice or something, they look so unenthused or uninspired. Their leg kicks dont even go up half way

Also the the batters all look like they are swinging flat footed or defensively with no real step in and twist of the hips with full extension of the arms....they look like they are fighting it off or fisting the hits yet i am seeing some of them go out of the park!??

can someone tell me whats up with this?

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Actually the ball even as holes in it just like a wiffle ball.

You won't like the game, save us all some time. All types of pitches have slider to increase their speed. The pitches still break a lot, but I have always personally thought this to be a strength of the game, especially when you consider it isn't easy to pick up out of the pitchers hand which pitch is witch.

Haven't really noticed what you are saying about the hitters.

first off this is the first hh game i have ever had and i love it. i thought it would be too easy to hit. but boy was i wrong you really have to wait for a good pitch and time it right to make good contact. i had asb last year and as long as you got the ball on your cursor you crushed to ball. this is way more realistic.

I've played 2 exhibition games so far. Let me start off by saying that I'm not totally impressed as of yet. I've been a diehard HH fan since the beginning, but I think this year that might come to the end. Right off the bat, this is what I'm displeased with.
                1) From what I've seen, every player has the same face scan. I was the Mets in the 2 games I've played and every player during their walkup to the plate looked indentical.
                2) Where's the true to life batting stances? Not in the 2 games i've played! C'mon! Mo Vaughn stands exactly like Roberto Alomar. JOKE!
                3) The same ol' "Action Camera" I don't know how anyone can play with this "on". I can't!
                4) Instant replay.......shows exactly what you saw the first time, most of the time. Also, doesn't show the whole replay.

Like I said, I've only played 2 games. I'm getting ready to go a little deeper into the game, and I'll be back with my impressions.

I really like the way the 2nd baseman throws to first from the hip! COOL!

Maybe I've shouldn't have tried ASB2003 2 weeks ago for the first time. I was plesantly suprised! As of right now, I'm taking HH2004 back to EB for ASB2004 when it comes out.

The pitches aren't floaty if you get the slider right and use a different camera angle. The Zoomed camera angle causes the pitches to look floaty. If you put the camera on Low and adjust the sliders to your ability, the pitches are rather fast.

I did this and bumped the FB speed to 8 and the rest of the pitches to 6 and it seems realistic. I've been late on 95+mph heaters quite often... It's real bad when the CPU sets me up with a slow change and then blows a high hard one by me.

Mistakes: I as playing with the Whitesox. Man on third two outs. high fly ball -- runner scores before bal lis caught and the run is COUNTED! This is ri-gosh-darn-diculous.

Second the schedules ARE NOT RIGHT. It has the Whitesox opening against the Tigers - they open against KC.

I could forgive the schedule (I was in franchise mode if that means anything) but the fly ball with two outs? Come on. It's 2003.

Not to mention the interface on this stinks -- try trading players or creating them. This game is out three months early.

That's odd. I checked the Pirates schedule and it's correct. However, someone else did mention they thought some teams schedule was wrong.

I read about the guy on third 2 out thing on another board, but it hasn't happened to me yet. Everytime the run hasn't counted. I wonder what's causing this??

The schedules are right. But when you are starting a franchise, if you go to the schedule settings and change any of those settings, even if you change them back, it gives you a different schedule when you start your franchise.
