They wouldn't give the final version a good going over before moving to production ? That is just not logical ,but it happened.

Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...
I also said it had stats back to '95, well each year you play that first year gets moved up, so in year 2 they only go back to '96 etc...That isn't very cool either.Comment

A piece of software is so comlex that it's just impossible to catch every single bug - especially in an isolated environment like a development house - even after a thorough going over of the gold product. It's the bizarre, rare, esoteric bugs that should slip into production, not bugs as big and obvious as this.Comment

Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...
Yeah, I don't know thing #1 about programming and testing, but how a bug that occurs of such importence and apparently has reared it's head several times was not caught shocks me. Maybe somebody can help me, do the developers, testers, etc. not PLAY the final game a day or two before shipping it?
Btw, I don't have HH 2004, but owned 2003 and 2002 and thought both were quality. I hate to see this happen to them as much as anybody, especially in THIS year's crop of choices for baseball.Favorite Sports Teams
NFL - Carolina Panthers
NBA - Charlotte Hornets
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
College Basketball - Wake Forest
NCAA Football - Appalachian StateComment

Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...
it's a small thing, but some of the commentary has been recycled from last year, except now it's wrong.
Ex: "Derek Lowe has developed into one of the game's most dependable closers."
I wouldn't mind this last year, when he had just switched, but he won 20 games last year, did they not notice he had made the switch? He threw a no-hitter ya know!?!?!?!Comment

Re: High Heat Sightings and First Impressions here...
Someone on another board reported a 2 strike glitch:
On a 0 and 0 count, K Wood threw the next pitch for a strike and....next thing ya know it was a 0 balls and 2 strike count!
One pitch counted for 2 strikes!Comment

Simply_dave: what happened? Just us trolls here. Go chase yourself you fool.
HH 2004 is worse than 2003. The interface is impossible -- the comuter redoes your lineup -- not even a game afer you make it -- the baserunner scores from 3rd and 3d0 declares bankruptcy. Shame on you HH. Shame on you. You were the best. Now you'll rank with the rankest of all time.Comment
