Well just get ASB, WSB, MVP or MLB if it's that big of an issue. I'm sure the place where you paid for it will give you your money back.

Re: Reaction to 3D0 Developers Interview

I am not exactly sure where you feel like you have been misinformed, maybe uninformed...but not misinformed. Your 2 points that you make are a pretty good stretch to being misinformed.

        1. As far as the attributes go, no one says the detail that you can get into. The question was asked about player appearances, but he kind of side stepped the question and led ME to believe that there isn't much going on in this department and that "maybe" next year they will have more options to choose from.

I guess I can see where that would seem like him misinforming us, but I think that if you just read the answer you will see that he never says that you can fully customize the player's appearance. He does say "some, yes" which to me means that yes you can change some things....maybe the waggle of the bat or the which arm you throw with. Both of those could be considered a way to change a player's appearance.

        2. Do you think that by him saying he doesn't have easy access to all the names in the database he is being a jerk? I mean he is sent questions that we would like answered, but it doesn't mean he can at the moment or has the time to type out 400 different names that there might be.

This is not a post to attack you, trust me. I am sure there are probably going to be many things that we question in the game, but this is the case with all games. I just didn't think that the 2 points that you were stressing were something to get upset about. I think there is a lot to be said about reading between the lines and I don't think, personally, that he was misleading or misinforming. But this is just my opinion that happens to differ from yours. You are by all means allowed to have your opinion so don't take this post negatively.

Of course there is a great chance that I am just not understanding or reading between the lines in your post as well. Maybe you can elaborate a little.

You obviously don't understand the whole point of SARCASM. The answer about finding the names on our own was sarcasm if you think about it. Guess when people don't take the time to understand that, they get pissed. Things may seem different on paper then vocalization but just think about it for a second.

And this won't be the first time a video game has been caught of false advertising. Sheesh, every game is criminal to that offense. It's always the little things though so people don't get on their case but you obviously are a very picky person, lol.

Most of the stuff you have a beef with is pretty damn nit-picky and negligible, so it didn't bother me too much that they were so vogue and non committal about it.

I did take issue with their excuse about the lack of detail on the stadiums, though. How can they possibly not have the access or resources to make sure they are all accurate? They have to have the same access as every other baseball game developer, yet those other games have all the stadiums down to an exact science by now. Maybe they just sort of half-*** it on some of them. It is possible they figure only a small amount of people are going to be playing as the Tigers, so they cut a few corners on parks like Comerica.

Who knows what the real reason is, but I know that the escuse they gave is a crock. If they would just do them all right, they wouldn't have to even touch them again until a new stadium popped up.

OK. look guys. I'm not that upset about it. I typed in caps so any reader can differenciate between subject and writer.

                    SOUND:
I never expected a list to be presented, I just got the impression like last year's game that if you make ANY changes to a player, he became "The catcher, Number 3!". With no pic. Thats not cool. There is no reason to believe that just coupling the names works -see WSB.

                    APPEARANCE:
"Edit players exactly so they look and play exactly the way you want"

-in the add was a big selling point for me and for him to write "Some," then " maybe next year" is BS.

Editing throwing arm, and height is industry standard ans stupid. I'd rather have accutrate numbers and appearance.

Phantom, nice of you to be polite about a difference of opinion. Some idiots use the board to be rude.

                    Thanks.

Let me ask a quick question here......Is the PC version of High Heat 2004 going to be identical to the console versions OR is it going to somewhate graphically scaled down like it was last year between the PS2 version and the PC version??

I was under the impression that this year, the PC version was a pretty much exact port from the PS2 ( or XBOX ) Is this not true?

Sega and EA do this also. So I don't see why it is such a big deal.
