    Favorite Hobbs home run?

I nominate the scoreboard at wrigley even though the ball of twine was also good even though it was technically a triple.

Definitely the Homer into the lights. That still sends chills down my spine every time I see the end of The Natural.

The one he hit off of Charlie Brown with Calvin on 2nd to win the Sunday Comics World Series.

Seriously, the batting practice homers when he finally gets to hit and everyone is standing around gawking.

Here's my issue with the Hobb's Homerun. I'm speaking about the one into the light tower. Wouldn't you have pitched around him?

                Yes, conventional wisdom says:
                a) You don't put the winning run on base
                b) He's old
                c) He's injured

But, at least pitch him differently. Wouldn't you throw him some garbage and see if he'd hold off.

                Losers!!

Come on Clay. Think about it... the catcher looked up and saw Roy bleeding through his jersey. He hadn't hit all night and then he's bleeding. They pitched him right. Roy was just too good.

I love this movie. Best Ever.

They were already pitching to him when the catcher saw the blood. That's when they decided to pitch him in.

                        Should have put him on...

I like the light tower as well, awesome cinematography...

Ya'll know in the book he takes the $$$$ and K's right?

                            Movie ending is definitely better.
