Damn it I've had it!!! My last two options are MLB 2004 or MVP. I've opted not to go for WSB this year. I hope they don't let me down...

Im leaning toward ASB this year....Last year I felt it had the deepest onfield AI ( Front Office moves and Lineup changing was weak ) and really had a very deep batter/pitcher matchup...you really felt your pitchers gain momentum as they performed well each inning and it was really realistic in the ways that you could set up and fool the hitters. Plus as you slowly fatigued, you actually saw the movement and velocity on your pitches get flatter and easier to hit which required you to yank a pitcher when he starts to lose his control and 'stuff'. Also about the cpu hitters, They were smart and would smash you if you threw the wrong pitches! WSB and HH cpu hitters never scared me...i wasnt afraid to throw to them...even right over the plate. In ASB, it was frightening to even think about throwing the ball right down the center of the plate.

Plus I love the cursor batting system, I feel it gives the player more realism in simulating the batting experience by allowing alot more variety in your hit placement.

Yeah but every pitcher could pitch about 95 MPH average on their fastball... hopefully they fixed that.

You do know EBGAMES return policy has changed. No more buy, play and return. Only sealed games can be returned.

Yeah Muffin...Your right about almost every pitcher having pitch speeds in the 95+ ranges. I think most pitchers in the majors hit the high 88+ to low 90s and only the real hard throwers get in the mid 90's ASB had way too many hard throwers. Also it was real hard to tell the difference also from a 90mph and a 98mph fastball....they all looked pretty similar

Altho its still a grate game and the fella who complained about only having 20 seasons!? Gimme a break would ya please....Im lucky if I get midway thru my 2nd season before version 2005 comes out. How many seasons could you possiblly play before the next version comes out???

Altho I do love the risk factor involved with the throwing meter in MVP for all fielders and I just am creaming in my shorts when I see finally a catchers mitt onscreen catching the pitch to bring some realism into a baseball game finally after about 20 years of video games someone thought about making this look a littl more realistic from the batter view.

Hopefully you can hear different 'pop's in the catchers mitt too, that simulate how hard the pitch was thrown. When I used to play minor league baseball ( single a only ) I would even hear a litle bit of the buzz a hard fastball makes as it's coming in real fast cutting thru the air. HH had it but it was terribly overdone...you heard it on every pitch...even knucklers and changeups!! wtf?

It will surprise as much people as Inside Drive and NFL Fever... come on now!!

I know I'm a rook here, but I cant take anyone who really thinks that ASB is the best baseball game on the market seriously, I mean come on your doing more animation watching the playing the game. It takes 10seconds to go through a pitching animation. Thats just the beginning of the rants I could on this game, there is one mode that intrigues me in ASB and thats the pickup game feature, I read in the IGN review and I hope this becomes a standard in the future versions of all baseball games
