I love the "bounc around" effect too. There's nothing like seeing where the rocks lands after you tator one off of The Big Unit.

I don't see why it's so hard for them to put this in the game. They can have the ball bounce of all the other walls, but not the walls in the stands?

I agree, it's cool to see the ball bounce around in the bullpen at PNC Park, or smack off the backdrop wall in centerfield. Although it doesn't kill the game not to have this, it makes it better and more realistic if it does.

Sometimes, it can wreak havoc with the way the game is coded. We game very close to doing this in HH 2003 for the PC, or I should say, HaloFan from the HH boards did.

He was able to code the game so that balls hit off the CF Restaurant at the Skydome would count for a HR and bounce back on the field.

He tired coding other parts of the field, but there were invisible barriers that would get activated in the middle field of play that cuased more trouble than they are worth.

Yeah, I would like to see this in HH as well, sucks ASB is the only game that does it. I don't see why it is too hard either, the ball bounces off the railing in front of the dug-out!

i cant imagine it would be that hard. i remember vr baseball 97 for the ps1 having it.

i think we have come far enough since that game that it should be able to be done pretty easily.

I have no problems with the ball disappearing if it's hit into the crowd. I don't think we are at the point where any developer can actually program the fans to rush in and try to get the HR ball.

However, if the ball is hit to the roof or bullpen, I'd definitely like to see the ball bouncing around.... just for the sake of it.... besides it'll make the HR much more satisfying.

We all want the most realism that can be in a game and this is no different. The better the realism the better the game, IMO.
