    That doesn't mean by pressing X you should be able to hit a low pitch. And that would totally kill the fun for me! How should you be able to hit X, and hit any strike? I don't remember just swinging the bat in baseball without aiming it, or going out and getting a pitch. The batter swings belt high when you only hit X. How should you be able to hit a low and outside curve by swinging belt high?

        well, it works. maybe you can make better contact by aiming right, but you can certainly hit any strike by just pressing X.

        i will have to experiment with this issue when i get the game in batting practice.

            I agree that you can make contact on almost any strike by hitting x only, but what I find is I have a much better chance to drive the ball as opposed to hitting a weak grounder or just fouling the pitch off (I have foul balls up two notches) if I have aimed correctly. Of course, when I'm ahead in the count and I get one grooved down the middle sometimes I don't need to hit anything but x.
