Clay's Early Early Early Impressions (That don't SUCK)

One Franchise Game

and some GM stuff

That's what I've done and here's a quick hit...

Pros
- This is NOT a HR fest
- There are a nice amount of K's and BB
- Nice little touches (like seeing your breath during a March 31st game in Detroit and the ads in the field are knockoff of the real signs)
- Better graphics then the Screens indicate
- Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep Franchise

Cons
- Tends to jump into Animations
- Hard to turn the DP - too many safe at first
- The Play by Play is nothing special
- Hitting is tricky at times

Biggest Beef So Far...

- They appeal to 1st or 3rd on EVERY check swing and there is no consistency in the call

That's what I got so far.

Anyways, in the create a player feature, is the age adjustable or do players start at 20 like last year?

Are there 2 separate hitting buttons, one for power and another for contact?

yes, the swing button is the same, but you can toggle back and forth between power and contact.

Thanks...that was my other beef. It picked it. I created a guy and they just made him 34. It was weird. Couldn't find a way to change it.

How many spring trianing games do u have to play is it 15??
Also anyone know if safeco has trees out in centerfeild? and how does the stadiums look closed?

Funny, that you mention that since High Heat not only has jumped in to animations, but High heat has always had missing animations as well. The main one that comes to mind was when the batter would swing hard and miss and fall across the plate or fall down completely, he would just pop back into place. I always thought that it showed the game was unfinished, but I knew it didn't affect gameplay. I'm assuming that's what you mean here? Looks kind of funny, but has zero affect on gameplay?
