Re: Killer Bug
what is the need for a generated pitch count?"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I haven't heard of anyone else having thise problem so I'll explain it here.
In my franchise with the Rangers, sometimes when I start a game the batters already have strikes and balls against them. It doesn't happen every game but it happens enough to be damn annoying. When it happens to 1 guy it happens the rest of the game. I've also had it where it would happen in the middle of a game also, but it's not as frequent. Has anyone else experienced this? I have the Xbox version and I'm using a custom profile in case that matters.

LOL, if this were really a bug it would have been the bug of the year. Can't imagine your thoughts when this was occuring and you thought it was a bug...LMAO.be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.Comment

Huh???
I know it was honest, I'm just saying i cant imagine what he was thinking to himself about the game when he noticed what was happening and thought it was a bug.be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.Comment

A couple of reasons come to mind. 1) It really cuts down on your game time and 2) if you arent the most patient hitter it helps get walks since you only have to finesse one ball out of the four from the pitcher.
I think its a fantastic feature.Comment

Re: Killer Bug
Hehe, When it first started happening I was like holy jebus this is a big bug. I knew about the generate count but it didn't come to mind because I had it off. That's when I posted here and discovered the actually tiny bug. Glad I posted or this game may have gone back. You guys are so smart.Comment

Re: Killer Bug
I'll have to mess with this some more today, but I think there may be a small problem in the XBox version when you "quit and save game". Everytime I did that yesterday, when I went and started the game back up again, some of the settings were changed. For instance, the game would start up with the cpu playing both teams, and I would have to go into the controllers menu and switch it back over to me. Also, I seemed to notice some other things that would need to be changed as well (e.g., the generated pitch count thing, mode of batting, etc.) Didn't take me more than 10 seconds to fix, but I'm wondering if this is what the original poster is talking about as well. I'll have to experiment with it some more today.Comment
