The first big disappointment is the lack of online play except IP for XBOX. Football, hockey and Basketball games came out with online capability so, why not baseball?
EA and their new game MVP came with new and refreshing ideas, but is a first generation game and some TP feelings are still there [too many HR, lack of ground balls], no jump or dive, no grounders on the hole to make the big play, no deep gameplay at all, need more time to convert on a great baseball game.
WSB with the ESPN presentation, good replays, a behind the pitcher camera, lot of uniforms, player celebration make this game the best looking, but fielding problems, stiff player models, runners to fasters [making almost impossible to turn a double play], poor play by play, isn't the same 2K3 than football, hockey or basket of Sega.
ASB is almost the same game than last year with more features, but still with some gameplays problems, too long to play a game, and is almost boring.
High Heat in my opinion is the winner, with the greatest gameplay as always, the addition of Franchise and the improvement on the graphics department, [they can almost compete with the others baseball games, with the high resolution colors, tons of animation and camera angles] could be the game to play this year.
I'm not trying to bash any game with the post, I think that they are all good baseball games, but still a step behind football for example with games like madden and 2K3,
This is only my opinion, I was waiting for WSB, but after playing HH for a week, almost every night until 2 or 3:00 AM, and reading some reviews, I will be playing HH until next year, when WSB, MVP and the rest of the competition include online play and polish the gameplay near perfection like high heat.
I'm sorry for my English, I never post this long because I'm still learning.
