madden auto runs and auto dives for your reeceiver and no one complains about that....but they do give you the option to take control and it adds and takes some from the game...i don't mind it it adds needing to know your players diving range a little better to know if you can come up with that shoe stringer and it takes away a tiny bit of manuality(yes i just made up a word)

Personally, I would rather have the satisfaction of making the play myself than having the computer do it for me.

The CPU does NOT make the play for you. It simple selects the right dive/jump annimation in regards to the position you put your fielder in. Yes it activates the animation on it's own but it's up to you to get the player in the most approprite position etc...

If you're not close enough to make a regular catch, then you didn't make it there in time and have to try to make a dive to even have a chance at it. This is where the computer makes the play for you by diving. I don't want the computer making plays for me in this fashion. That's all I'm saying. If I don't get there in time, then that's another story.
