I'm gonna buy HH next week and just have a question. I can imagine how HH stats are realistic with the exception of one stat. That would be human team walks. I would imagine that number would be very low (maybe even 0 with the exception of intentional walks). How do you guys handle that or do you just ignore it? I've been playing ASB on manage only mode and really having some fun.

Re: Question for you hardcore HH\'ers
I walk 1 or 2 a game sometimes. There is a slider to adjust the accuracy of the pitchers and a slider that affects how good the CPU works the count. This game has sliders for almost everything. You will be able to tweak it perfectly to your liking!Comment

I think you misunderstood me. I was speaking of walks issued by the human player (playing in the field).

Just because you call for a pitch to be in the strike zone doesn't mean it's gonna hit. Especially if you're painting the corners.
I've gotten into a few 3-2 counts, tried to paint the corner with the pitch, and ended up issuing the walk.5WG | Facebook | Twitter | fiftytwoplays

Re: Question for you hardcore HH\'ers
If you play on All-Star difficulty or higher, if you don't walk some people, you'll more than likely get rocked consistently. You really have to work the plate, instead of just throwing everything down the middle.
Like others have said, just because you call for a certain location doesn't mean that's where the pitch will go. A pitcher's control rating and fatigue are big factors in determining where a pitch ends up. I've had instances where I called for a ball, but the CPU player hit the pitch, because I couldn't place it far enough off the plate!
I'm having about 2 non-IBB walks a game, so far. Also, if you want to rack up some K's, you're going to have to work the plate, too. You won't just blow everything by the CPU. You're going to have to work the count and mix up the pitches effectively.Comment
