Yeah, I've noticed that hitters seemed to have gotten a lot smarter this year in terms of not chasing after bad stuff and smashing your mistakes. One thing I use to get strikeouts is to take particular note of how or where the batter check swings. I use this to set up my next pitch by either throwing a ball to where he wants the ball to be, or throw another strike the in same spot to keep him off-balance. It's a whole lot more challenging to pitch really good games, and it should be.

Re: Question for you hardcore HH\'ers
Up the "pitcher control sim" bar, this controls how hard it is to throw strikes with offspeed and breaking stuff, and also how hard it is to spot the fastball exactly where you want it. This makes hitters counts actually be hitters counts, in that the CPU will have to throw some type of fastball to stay in the KZone.Comment

Issuing walks by my pitchers are no problem...DRAWING walks are a problem for me. I probably average 1 walk drawn every 2-3 games. Any suggestions besides "be more patient"?

That's really all you can do, swing a strikes. I usually take pitches until the CPU throws a strike.PS4 Username: grismosw7Comment

Yeah. I would say that if you force yourself to take the first pitch every time, and I mean take your hand off the controller for the first pitch, you'll do a lot better at working the count and drawing walks. I'm averaging 3 walks per game with a high of five in one game, and I've only had on IBB.Comment

Re: Question for you hardcore HH\'ers
Yes, working the count helps a lot in HH. I had 4 runs on 2 hits earlier b/c Estes walked 3 guys and I hit a bases loaded triple off of him and followed it with a single. I don't know if there is another game out there you could have 4 runs on 2 hits without an error by the other team. Gotta love the realism HH providesComment

Hi , has anyone noticed that the tuning menu for the AI
is missing. I know that last year version for the pc had
this feature. The computer never steals any bases. The
AI isn't that aggressive in the ps2 version

I dont know exactly what you are doing but the computer steals off me all the time. Granted my catcher is Jorge Posada, who has just about the worst throw-out percentage of all time.Comment
