Isn't there a chance of tampering whether they want you to find it or not?

I don't see any reason why they can't use this evidence if their experts determine it wasn't tampered with. It's up to a Judge/Jury (or congress in this case I guess?) to determine whether the evidence is valid or not.

Alright, this is getting downright strange.

McNamee tesities Clemens' wife took HGH too.

What does Clemens' wife have to do with steroids in baseball?

Nothing, but it is still illegal, and if they want all the information and things that can incriminate Clemens, your wife doing it too is very telling.

Congress isn't investigating because of the legality. They are involved because of the steroids in baseball issue.

If McNamee wanted to bring this up in his defense of the civil suit filed against him by Clemens then it would be relevant.

If HGH can keep chicks hot, it needs to be rescheduled by the U.S. Government.

Hell, make it legal and encouraged.

it is legal if it is prescribed to you. HGH is in a lot of prescription drugs

wasnt long ago that you could walk into a GNC and buy products containing heavy amounts of HGH. You probably still can.

Yeah, and they are investigated Baseball, cause it is illegal ... and they were basically running a drug ring under the noses of the people.

Congress doesn't care about cheaters in the game, they care about the use of federally illegal drugs, in a huge trade program in a professional game that takes in billions of dollars.

yea and the main leader of that "ring" or whatever it was, Radomski, got probation. He's the kingpin, but he got off because he gave up names of baseball players. What kind of backwards crap is that? Usually it's the suppliers and pushers they go after. What a joke.

MLB and congress should both be ashamed of themselves, with the way they have handled this.

Well, Andy Reid's kids were running a "Drug Emporium" at one time. Baseball had to get their cut.

you aren't no scientist. DNA doesn't go away. Clemens should of just used the Andy Pettite excuse and be done with it.

What will be interesting is if Clemens' defense team comes out and says that McNamee kept the vitamin B syringes he used to inject Clemens with (that he's already admitted to doing) and tainted them with steroids.

I don't think he could do that anyways due to carbon dating. He would have had to have done it the next day or something (which seems very unlikely). If that pad has Roger's blood and steroids on it, he's screwed in the court of public opinion. Btw, this is totally different than the Duke Lacrosse case. In that case, there was no evidence at all, yet they went after those three guys anyways. In this case, there's a lot of substantial evidence (old or not) that goes against Roger. I find it hilarious that some posters think that it's more likely that 8 years ago McNamee gave shots to Roger then doped them right after that than it is that Roger actually took steroids, lol. Plus the fact that Roger has changed his story doesn't help either. He's going to have a hard time getting into the hall of fame I think.

Carbon dating? I'm not so sure DNA testing includes carbon dating. Even so, I don't see how it would apply.

And posters aren't saying it's more likely McNamee tainted the syringes. We're offering a potential (and plausible) defense.

For what it's worth I think Clemens did do steroids. However, I could careless what his wife did.
