Re: RogerClemensReport.com
As Bill Simmons put it:
...imagine the validity of this scenario if I had pitched it to you two years ago: There's a famous baseball player whose career will have a curious resurgence well after his prime, and eventually there's going to be evidence pointing to his possible usage of steroids and HGH ... but as it turned out, only his best friend and his wife used HGH! And he wasn't involved at all! You would not have believed me.Comment

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
btw, you do realize that anabolic steroids end up adding to injuries and creating injuries (especially for pitchers because of what they do to ligaments)...they certainly dont prevent injuries. Clemens would have shown some signs of break down if he would have started taking anabolic steroids to "rejuvinate" his career after leaving Boston. Anabolic steroids wouldnt "rejuvinate" anything, health wise. If Clemens had taken as many anabolic steroids as he is accused of, he would have been messed up. Anabolic steroids, like winstrol, screw people's health up.
HGH is a different story.
HGH is overrated. It's really expensive and it takes a while to see the effects. It shouldn't be grouped with anabolic steroids because it is a peptide and is different. AAS give you a lot more bang for your buck and the results come a lot faster. I think athletes got off on this HGH fad because it was the new thing and there wasn't a test for it. It's also a subcutaneous injection instead of an intramuscular injection. This means a lot smaller needle and an injection that is into the fat layer of the skin, not all the way into the muscle like a shot of testosterone would be.
Winstrol can be consumed orally so that would make it easier for players to use. It's really toxic on the liver though and it's effects aren't as pronounced as regular testosterone.
I think people are a bit misinformed. You wouldn't be messed up just because you took steroids. It would depend on a lot of factors. Also, the media needs to quit treating HGH like it's a steroid. There are differences.Last edited by BigDofBA; 02-19-2008, 02:00 AM.***My Teams***

what? That is what i wrote. You must have "misremembered"
exactly. HGH is a completely different story than anabolic steroidsLast edited by ZB9; 02-20-2008, 01:06 AM.Comment

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
abusing anabolic steroids doesnt guarantee that someone will get injured, but it certainly raises the odds through the roof of injuries occuring...at the very least, people that repeatedly ABUSE anabolic steroids show SIGNS of use (and the signs can usually be pretty easily noticed).
Of course, if someone knows what they are doing and takes a very controlled amount then they might not show many ill effects, but they will show some signs...if you read the "reports" of the amounts and doses that Clemens was accused of taking, he would have shown signs AT LEAST.Last edited by ZB9; 02-20-2008, 12:06 AM.Comment

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
I didn't really understand what you meant about winstrol that's why I asked. Anyway, if Clemens did use anything, which I think he did, I don't think it was massive amounts like the media would have you believe. To me, it seems like he may of dabbled into a few things but he doesn't seem like a juicehead like Canseco.

LMAO. Good analogy. You are right on about what it does to ligaments.

but seriously, Clemens pitched with an attitude. He was similar to Nolan Ryan in that way, and Nolan was a pitcher that he says he modeled much of his game after. I doubt it has anything to do with roid rage (although Piazza might disagree lol)Last edited by ZB9; 02-20-2008, 08:40 PM.Comment

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
Once again, Roger Clemens used steroids...shocking. Bonds and Clemens both have the classic personality that would lead them to deny it despite all kinds of evidence which points to the same conclusion. You may not be able to prove it 100% but only the irrational will latch onto that fact. I wonder if they both admit it like Pete Rose after denying it for decades.Last edited by keRplunK; 02-25-2008, 12:10 AM.Comment

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
Possible Picture showing Clemens at the party that he claimed he never atteneded.
Edit: Clemens lawyer was made aware of a photo that puts Clemens at the party. Enjoy your free time Clemens while you have it.
Unidentified player claims Clemens often joked about an incident that happened at that party he never attended.

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
I love the stuff WFAN was talking about this morning (not sure if anyone else was) that this party occurred right after his wife had a boob job and her and Canseco's wife at the time were topless comparing their boobs to each other."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
Well whatever it doesn't matter if he was at a party, what does that prove?
Clemens just misremembered that he was not at the party. Roger Clemens would never lie he's my favorite baseball player and his is really good at throwing a ball past hitters and he would never say things that weren't true1!!!@ so there!Comment

Re: RogerClemensReport.com
LMAO.
Clemens is an idiot. If he would of just admitted it we probably wouldn't still be talking about like this.
He could of admitted it, said he was sorry, said he thought he needed to, blah blah blah, and apologized. People would of ripped him for a few days and it would of been over. Instead we have all of these embarrassing images of him.
We know about an abscess on his butt, his trainer injecting his but, his wife getting injected in their bedroom by his trainer, his wife comparing boobs with Jessica Canseco, blood coming through his baseball pants, etc.
We wouldn't of known about any of this stuff had he just admitted it and moved on. Now we have all of these images and this things is going to get drag out.***My Teams***
