do you dispute that Clemens found the Nanny? Like Davis said, congress would not have been able to depose her at all if he wouldnt have found her.

Was she living in a cave or something? I'm pretty sure they would have been able to track her down if Clemens had simply provided her name and contact information as they requested. The idea that Clemens did them a favor by inviting her over to "talk" before they had a chance to talk to her is laughable.Comment

Personally, who cares what Rep. Davis had to say? The entire session yesterday was a political show. The democrats clearly did not believe Clemens and the Republicans didn't want to believe McNamee.
The fact that Rep. Dan Burton proceeded to say that McNamee was telling "lie after lie after lie" and basically counted out anything McNamee was saying really upset me. He was more worried about how he would get his rep back. This shows me that his decision was made up before he even walked in. His decision was based on his political viewpoint.
How so many politicians can slam someone for lying and not telling the entire truth is a joke. I wonder how many lies they told this week, let alone their entire career.

Clemens was asked on Friday afternoon to find her (the offices were closed over the weekend obviously). Clemens didnt even talk to her until Sunday. The reason congress wanted to find her was because she was their ticket to discredit all of the affidavids, and eyewitness acounts coming out discrediting their buddy Mitchell's "evidence" in the BBQ. Congress was scrambling.
If they had a problem with Clemens finding her then they should have found her their damn selves instead of asking him. Its obvious this thing was a witch hunt, and knowing it is a witch hunt...you are out of your mind if you think Clemens would hand deliver a lady to congress that he hasnt seen in 7 years, that doesnt speak English as a first language (and who is reportedly scared of the government) without talking to her first, setting her at ease, explaining things to her, and seeing what she says about a not so coherent time from 10 years ago.
She is exactly the type of witness that congress can manipulate, and being wary of having a witness manipulated is obviously understandable for Clemens after watching how this entire witch hunt has developed. It's obvious why congress was scrambling to find her in the first place.
btw, did i mention that she didnt even have any attorneys with her when she was deposed? She could have had an attorney with her, and she could have pleaded the 5th.

I dont know if he is innocent. I dont know if he is guilty or not either. Reading all of the depositions certainly doesnt lead to me thinking he is guilty.
it is clear that this thing is a witch hunt (and it's BS how both MLB and congress have handled it, but i digress). Knowing about the people, the motivation, and the situations surrounding the witch hunt...I dont automatically buy everything they are selling. Emery needs to stop worrying about making statements in the press. The hearing is done. He has a defamation suite to get his client ready for, and that wont be strictly a court of public opinion. I cant wait to see that rat snitch pos McNamee cross examined.Comment

So you're aware that you basically just defined witness tampering in your explanation of the situation, claiming Clemens would be crazy not to tamper with her before giving her contact information to Congress? Please don't call people crazy and clueless for not having the same point of view as you do.
Because of the tampering, the nanny's deposition should be throw out and rendered inadmissible. The focus of any investigation shouldn't be on a party at Canseco's house anyways. If they really want answers on it they should track down everyone who was there and ask them if Clemens was present, otherwise move on.
I have a feeling nothing more is going to follow though. There isn't enough substance to go at Roger with anything. They really dropped the ball but excusing Pettite from the hearings as I feel only Andy sitting there beside Roger condemning him would possibly fluster the guy. Congress will probably just leave the rest up to the court of public opinion.Comment
