Didn't Clemens say today he didn't know his wife took it?

Pettitte mentioned Clemens knew and they had a discussion on it.

If he did I missed it. I didn't watch every minute of the hearings so it's possible.

That would be awfully stupid of him though seeing as introducing his wife as his cover story in 2005 at the time of the last Congressional hearings seemed to be planned well in advance.

If that's the case then why save the syringes and vials? If he acted like that toward Pettitte (and Pettitte said he was just as upset in '05 when he brought it up to McNamee again) then why would he keep anything that tied him to any of that activity?

I think that he kept the vials to cover his own ***, which does make sense given the situation he finds himself in right now. He may or may not be able to prove something with those vials. He said either today or another time that while he respected and befriended Clemens, he didn't trust him completely.

The guy definitely is not a saint and seems to have some issues. However, I do believe that it made sense to keep those syringes in the event that something happened. It seems as though Clemens is willing to throw anyone under the bus to save himself and maybe McNamee realized that he would need the syringes and whatnot in the case that he had a falling out with him? I don't think that any of this proves anything about Clemens parenting skills either. Maybe he admired his relationship he had with his kids or something who knows? I know I am purely speculating but it does make some sense.

btw, they wouldnt have had the testimony from the nanny if Clemens wouldnt have found her. They asked him on Friday if he could find the nanny so they could talk to her and he did. They talked to her on monday and she said that Clemens wasnt there.

And Clemens didnt respond to the request until he was finally able to get her in his home to tell her (and I am paraphrasing here) "to say hello and tell her how much his family missed her". He didnt forward the contact info until AFTER he spoke to her first (which was on Friday) and that's what Waxman took Clemens to task on.

You kill me man. Every post of yours defends Clemens and informs another poster how much more you know than them. The testimony today put forth by the members of Congress says you have it wrong. Clemens did in fact invite this woman over to his house despite the fact that he hadn't spoken to her since 2001. You don't think that this sounds at least kind of strange?

It doesnt matter if Pettitte spoke of that conversation. The party isnt as significant as what Pettitte's saying. Plus now Clemens would ask us to believe that his best friend, Pettitte, was using, his wife was using, and his trainer was administering but he was oblivious to all of it. Whatever discrepancies might exist about the party gets crushed under the weight of all that.

It is obvious you can't hold a discussion while remaining civil. I never said that Clemens got to the other people or that he told her what to say. All I stated was that Clemens actions have seemed a little questionable. That's it. With that said, I am done replying to you in this thread.

So was the party the day after the Clemens' family arrived at Canseco's house? Because from the way I'm reading it the nanny is claiming that Roger was at Canseco's house when the family arrived but she isn't sure if he spent the night.

Edit: Reading a little more it seems like she's saying that they weren't there for the party. So it appears to me that she didn't confirm or deny that he was at the party. She just simply doesn't know if he was there or not.

So some of my earlier posts were wrong saying that the nanny stated that Clemens was at the party. I should've read the actual statements instead of relying on what the media told me. It still doesn't change the fact that I'm convinced that Clemens is lying.
