It's crazy to think a team that made the playoffs, who didn't really lose anything, and made a few solid (not great) acquisitions in the offseason, is deeper than last year? At least we have logic on our side, what's your excuse?

Considering his predictions include all MLB teams finishing with a combined record of 36 games over .500, I wouldn't take them very seriously.

Honestly the division was pretty much handed to them last season, I watch a lot of there games, and get the MLB Extra Innings package, The Brewers were a much better team, just injuries got to them late, and the young team. For the money they spent it didn't impress me. And Dr Jones these are basically the records I see, pretty much every team will be consistent, because every division is wide open pretty much.

But you do know that if you add every team's record together, you should get an equal number of wins and losses, right? Your numbers don't add up. You're better off just predicting order of finish, rather than exact records, if you can't get the math to work.

I didn't really make it totally professional, just a broad view of how I see it, it's not 100% mathmatically correct. I just basically put the numbers around where I seen it.

Your really missing out, and don't have a level head if you think this isn't possible. The NL Central is a dead even heat, every team has a shot to win it or finish in last pretty much.

Rabbit, I respect the fact that these are your thoughts, and you have accomplished sparking a debate...........but. The Cubs had more than their fair share of injuries last year also. Soriano seemed to battle Hammy problems all season long, Aramis missed about 2.5 weeks last year, DLee was trying to come back from the wrist injury. If you check DLee's power numbers from August on, you will see a drastic difference from the first half of the season. Wood was still coming back and not to mention a handfull of other nagging problems to other problems, and dont get me started on the whole JJones" I hate playing Chicago" problem

We also had to deal with the whole "Barrett vs Zambrano"fiasco and now Lou has the team that he pretty much wants, with maybe a few additions to come later this year. The Cards, IMO are not better than last year..........Livingin St Louis I had the "joy" of watching many games in person and on tv....how did they get much better. The Pirates Have a good staff and a good core of young players in the infield...but they are still the Pirates. I am just trying to figure out where you see the Cubs as being weaker team than last year and them having less depth.

I dunno. Just me, but I think the Cards are gonna stink the place up this year. Ryan Ludwick? Yikes! They look pretty much the same, Glaus???? Carpenter????

It's all subjective though, so....Spring training hasn't started and we haven't seen the list of pitchers who blow out their arms, outfielders who tear an ACL, etc., etc. Way too early to predict anything.

Ludwick is better than people think, he has a lot of power, and was probably the clutchiest player on the team last season. That was a nice talk earlier on xbox live Blue. Do you have a little more respect with my predictions, and not just bias now after the chat we had?

First thought...great another baseball prediction (sarcasm in case you didn't catch that).

Second...wow, lots of information. He went to work.

I had it in paragraph form, I did this at a diff site, and when I copied and pasted it over, it took it out of paragraph, and I was in a hurry, and didn't get a chance to switch it.

I edited my first post, thanks NYISLES16. Also like I told Blue, one thing that I am postive about is that the Central is really wide open, and the pitchers have had a whole offseason to watch Soto on film, and may have found weaknesses, and he is still young, which is a good and bad thing. It normally is harder for young guys to make adjustments, and might get frustrated if a slump comes with happens to pretty much everybody. Blanco is the exact opposite with his great d skills, but he can't hit a lick. Also losing Jones and Floyd in the outfield causes a lack of depth, especially if Murton get's traded. Pie is going to be good I think, but I don't think they should push him, because they seen what happened to Patterson, Chicago is not the best place to play at if your young, and a hot prospect, because they will turn on you in a hurry, and that's something alot of young kids aren't ready for.
