how good is high heat?

im really tempted to pick this game up comes out tm, i was leaning towards wsb and mvp for xbox but my patience is running out and from what i read so far high heat as gotten better reviews than the other too although ign gave it an 8.1 or something which is good but not great. just wondering what u guys think. do u think this game in the end will come out on top or should i wait and see about the other 2

This is my opinion so far on all the games:

ASB - picked it up today for PS2... played all night.... concluded that the gameplay isn't up to par with HH. Although Graphics is good and all the extra features are fantastic, I just can't seem to get into the actual gameplay. I'll give it a few more days to see if it'll grow on me. Right now, I plan to play Manage-Only with the game.

HH - So far, it's the best baseball game I've ever played (and I have tried quite a few in the past 5 or 6 years). I am having a great time playing my Dodgers franchise: 8-5 right now. Picked up Ivan Rodriquez only to have him injured after one game! URGGGG.....

I know WSB and MVP aren't out yet but from what I've seen, I don't think I will like the meter interface in MVP. And the jury's out on WSB cuz only a few blessed ones have the beta version of it.

If you want to do management only, then OOTP 5 is the way to go.

I am a bit torn now on which on is better right now. I have been playing ASB for a week and it has a great franchise with expansion. I have been playing HH for a day and it is a great game as well. They both have +'s and -'s

If you can look past the sub par graphics (compared to the competition) the gameplay rocks. This game plays so much like real baseball.

I second that. This is my first time with HH and while there are better looking games out there I was expecting HH to be much worse than it is. It isn't that bad.

The gameplay is really good though.

I think it is excellent. If you can deal with the hitting interface than ASB is pretty good, but I enjoy hitting and pitching in HH so much more.

I had ASB last year and ended up returning it because I had so many problems with the game locking up...two different copies. I also played the demo of the new one today and while I am used to the hitting it it, I also enjoy HH's hitting much more.
