    ESPN THE MAGAZINE ranks the best players in baseball by position

    I'm just going to list top 5 in each position this was in the most recent ESPN the magazine these are in order and are surprising.:

        It was entitled "You will not be denied" and it is listing the top players by position not just offensive and its on page 54.

                    Young is the second worst defensive shortstop in baseball in front of Jeter (and maybe Eckstein). He's right where he should be.

                      Did you forget about Hanley? He's easily the worst defender at short in the league.

                          I don't know where you got that impression. Young has been a solid fielder throughout his career. You act as if he's a liability. Carlos Guillen is a far worse fielder, and much less established player than Young is.

                              Guillen isn't even a shortstop anymore, so move Young up to 8th.
