You can't edit existing players in the game I don't believe...only newly created ones.

Major leaguers cut the bag at the correct angle which may add an additonal 10 feet or so. Let's say I am wrong and it adds 20 feet.

That make 200 feet one has to run to get a double. Now, let's say slow players run the hundred yard dash in about 12-13 seconds. Fast players in 9.5 - 11 seconds. Doing the math, a slow player would take 8 - 8.5 seconds to make a double. A fast player, on the other hand, should cover 200 feet in 7 seconds or under...and yes, this accounts for starting from a dead stop and bellying out at first.

The videos show fast players (Damon, Jeter, Jones, Payton) taking between 8.5 - 9 seconds to leg out a double, or score from second.

Those are the facts, but let's let the game speak for itself on Wed. Maybe it is corrected in the final version.

Can any of you guys tell me how many RPMs games are getting on my xbox and ps2?

I just timed Jay Payton in the fourth video and from the time
the ball left the bat and he touched second, 9 seconds had
            elaspsed.

Yup...about 1.5 to 2 seconds too long...hopefully they tweaked it beofre releasing as these were videos from an 85% build.

well there have been several reviews from a couple of magazines and so far none of them have said anything about the baserunning or throwing so maybe thats a good sign?

Or maybe nobody even thought about it since they didn't time the players' speed!

It probably doesn't affect the gameplay, since everything is probably slowed down.

Not true...ask Steve here...he's played the game extensively. How about a bunch of guys thrown out at first from the OF? Affect gameplay? I think so...

looks like the bad baserunning and lack of ground balls could kill this game, lets hope its all better by release.
