    A good comparion IMO

A good comparison for MVP Baseball I feel is NBA Live 2003 by EA Sports also. I know MVP isn't out yet and I don't have nor have played the game but I have read almost everything there is to read about this and have seen all the movies. The game looks very good and the game's stances and pitch motions are there. Like Live 2003, the game has something unique. Live 2003 has the Freestyle where MVP has the meters for pitching and throwing. Like Freestyle the user will have to become acclimated to this but after a while it will become really a lot of fun I bet. Both Freestyle and the meters put you in the position of the player as well.

The thing we agreed on with Live 2003 was that it had great potential but did not have sliders. Same with MVP. It looks like MVP looks great like Live but the sliders could hurt it. I remember buying Live and liking it but being agitated with the number of blocks and steals and the game being too up tempo. So there was a MT Nuts thread and we edited the heck out of the game to fix it. This may very well happen with MVP due to the throws of the players from the outfield. From Steve's impressions and the videos I have seen it looks to me like the players might have to much of a "GUN". Now, to my understanding you can edit the players skills in MVP. This may be what we have to do to save this. Now, this could be a good sacrifice to make because the game has incredible graphics and amazing batting and pitching stances like I said. Also, it should be a blast to play. After playing HH 2004 and returning it (good game but I need a change) I am really looking for a new baseball game that I can play a 162 games with.

As I said sliders would be a huge help for a 1st year game and I don't understand why EA didn't include them. Maybe us gamers will have to do some work. Hopefully I am wrong and the throwing from the outfield is realistic. I may be willing to put in some hard earned time to fix it if it's worth it.

hate to dissapoint but u can only edit created players in MVP so we dont realy have that much leeway in what we as users could do to fix or change the game. Hopefully next year

Oh That sucks. I thought maybe we would be able to salvage the fact that Andruw Jones was gunned down going in to second and also of players being thrown out at 1st from the outfield. I guess not.

I understand why you compare mvp and live.

But there is one fundemental difference. EA has done everything it can to get away from its previous baseball games.
With live......it was just an improvement.

Remember that EA has built MVP from the ground up. For a yr and a half they have been making this game. Unlike Live.

I really enjoyed playing Live with 3 people, it was multiplayer crack. Hopefully, MVP will be a great 2 player game.
