The thing we agreed on with Live 2003 was that it had great potential but did not have sliders. Same with MVP. It looks like MVP looks great like Live but the sliders could hurt it. I remember buying Live and liking it but being agitated with the number of blocks and steals and the game being too up tempo. So there was a MT Nuts thread and we edited the heck out of the game to fix it. This may very well happen with MVP due to the throws of the players from the outfield. From Steve's impressions and the videos I have seen it looks to me like the players might have to much of a "GUN". Now, to my understanding you can edit the players skills in MVP. This may be what we have to do to save this. Now, this could be a good sacrifice to make because the game has incredible graphics and amazing batting and pitching stances like I said. Also, it should be a blast to play. After playing HH 2004 and returning it (good game but I need a change) I am really looking for a new baseball game that I can play a 162 games with.
As I said sliders would be a huge help for a 1st year game and I don't understand why EA didn't include them. Maybe us gamers will have to do some work. Hopefully I am wrong and the throwing from the outfield is realistic. I may be willing to put in some hard earned time to fix it if it's worth it.
