    Re: FATPITCHER

Yeah, I must say that it is funny how Hilary can make a 6 page review with very little information given. IGN needs to learn to write shorter reviews with more information in them. Hilary is the worst offender, but the disease seems to have spread to the other IGN sites as well.

No, there's a handy Pitchout button (Square-Ps2, X-Xbox) that allows you to pitch out or do an intentional walk without losing stamina or risking a wild pitch.

Baserunning is much better this year, but some people may say it's still not aggressive enough. Nowhere near the problem it was before though...now it's very debatable

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

oxm complained about not being able to intentional walk and wild pitches when so..but say some crazy stuff.

We actually do have ball-bouncing-off-head physics. I've only seen it happen once, though, and the backup fielder grabbed it off the bounce for the out.

I also don't agree that hitting HRs with contact swings is close to impossible...what happens is that people are usually gonna use the power swing for their HR hitters, and use the contact swing for the Greg Grosses of the world. Naturally, they won't see many HRs using contact swing like that.

Other than that, the complaints brought up are legitimate (action replays starting too late, most cut-scenes are from last year, ball doesn't bounce when thrown to 1st from the infield, pitch selection isn't as big as other games, no player scaling). To clarify, there are NO broken bats at all.

Seems a little skimpy on the nitty-gritty stuff like walks/game and sliders and such, but that's what OS is for.

          <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

About the power/contact swing...I heard that you can disable the power swing option. So does that leave all of us with a contact swing ONLY or does it leave us with a more balanced mix between power &amp; contact.

          Thanks for everything!

I have a question, you can jump for liners and other things besides just to rob HRs right? I just read the GamePro review and I belive they said you can jump to snag liners, just wanted to make sure. Thanks

Well, sorta... there's the Power Pro hitting option... where you have a meter according to how hard you hit it, then you just swing with X (or A for Xbox)... at least... I think.

To GotQueen16, yes... you can leap for anything.
