Re: Updated MVP Baseball 2003 Interview

I was leaning towards WSB, but this info has certainly got me thinking big time! I have enough cash to buy one baseball game tomorrow, and my Software Etc. does not accept any returns (except for the same item if defective). So I need to "roll the dice." I know I could wait and rent the games, but that mean more time to wait. I'm going to pick a game, and eventually rent the others. Down the line I could always pick up a second baseball game.

Interesting comments vic. A game made in heaven! Whether he had all the right answer or not, he just contributed to me spending another $50 on a game. I was on the fence, but now i'm definitely getting it. It's REALLY encouraging to hear that they have been tweaking running/throwing the last couple of weeks. And since this guy supposedly was a game designer, not some PR guy, there's probably truth to what he said.

In watching the movies, this view almost looks better than WSB's behing the pitcher cam but I thought it was only for replays. This just turned from a must buy to gotta have it for me !!!!

What movies are you referring to? I've seen a lot of movies and haven't seen this view other than for replays.

Re: Updated MVP Baseball 2003 Interview

I'm surprised at how many people are willing to plunk down the cash for this one without reading more reviews. The reviews that are out now say it's pretty good for a first effort, but not yet to the level of WSB. WSB has been building a reputation for several years now and you know it's not going to have a bunch of holes in the gameplay. MVP may turn out to be a great title, but I could care less about interviews, features list, screenshots until I can play the game or at least read about other people playing the game and see how it all comes together.

I hear what you're saying, but i'm interested in enough things that MVP has to offer that i'm willing to give it a chance. I don't expect it to be perfect. In fact, i do expect it to have some first-year quirks. But i also expect it to play a decent game of baseball (hope i'm right), and then next year will probably be a big improvement.
