Re: Who do you most trust for baseball impressions?
I personally "research" about a game by reading developer interviews (see if they "dodge" certain questions). Then I read the official reviews at IGN.com (if it's not posted yet, I wait til it is) The IGN reviews tell me the facts and the reviewer's opinion. Keeping both facts and opinion in mind, I religiously read as many threads on the OS-game specific forum as I can. Heck, I read up on threads that pertain to the game at every game forum I can.
For instance, I read alot about High Heat 2k4, WSB2k3 and ASB2004 this year. Before I did my homework on all 3 games, I thought HH2004 was gonna be the game to get this year. After research, I have personally figured out WSB2k3 is the game to get this year. Here is my priority order.
1. WSB2k3
2. HH2004 PC
3. ASB2004
4. HH2004 XBox
I know about every game's features, strengths, weaknesses to the point where I could work at a baseball video game store (if one ever existed).
