Re: Who do you most trust for baseball impressions?

I used to turn to magazines, but with the arrival and popularity of the Internet, I now turn there.

Operation Sports is a great site, and has updated links as well as good/fair reviews.

I also do read the forums a lot when a game is released to get a feel for whether the users think its good or not. The only thing with that is that I have to be careful to notice fanboy tendencies and random game-bashing. Other than that the forums are a great place to find out about a game's quality.

I also really like Sports Gaming Network's site. I haven't gone there as much lately, but they used to do really good and honest reviews.

I have mixed feelings about IGN. I used to have a lot of respect for their site and their reviews, but lately that has changed. It seems they are too frequently pasting the same exact review to cover games across all platforms, despite the fact that the games themselves are not identical.

Also, IGN has lately been overrun by advertisers, and they seem to throw in an advertisement at any opportunity presented to them. While this is business, it would be nice to see them practice at least some restraint.

Lastly, I am not fond of having to pay for premium gaming content/reviews as I figure there are plenty of places on the Internet where the same information and views can be found for free.
