Don't you realize what you do on the west coast doesn't matter. They only play real baseball in NY, Boston, Chicago, STL....

Tony Gwynn got into the HOF without having ever played for teams in any of those cities, Trevor Hoffman probably will too.

There may be a media bias against the west coast in Baseball (especially since ESPN stopped doing their wednesday night double headers which always had at least one west coast team), it's not exactly like the west has given anyone anything to really talk about since the Dodgers and the A's were really good--back in the 1980's!.

All good examples. But four examples over the past 20+ years is not a whole lot to get the rest of the country to take notice.

The Diamondbacks would be the big winner here since they ended the Yankees string of consecutive title--and in dramatic fashion too.

The Padres and Rockies could not keep their "magic" alive long enough to actually win a World Series game and both clubs struggled the following year (The Rockies still have a chance to change things but it does not look good).

The Angels and Giants gave us some of the best World Series games we have seen in years (and the Angels kept Bonds from getting a ring so kudos to them) but terrible ratings for that series indicated that outside of California no one seemed to care.

Baseball is to the east what Basketball is to the west. Most of the attention and star power in Baseball is in the east and midwest just as most of the star power in the NBA is in the west.
Right or wrong that's how it is.

Actually I read your ridiculous post, read something else, came back to it to reply and noticed you edited it. You did it a third time, actually.

My definition of "greatest moments" is obviously different from yours. Despite the fact you think you used the word statistical (yet obviously didn't, let's just ignore it and hopes it goes away), when you see Mike Piazza in media outlets, they will always show "memorable" moments from his time with the Mets more so than the Dodgers.

Wow. I would have hoped that the first post was critical and sarcastic enough against the Dodgers for you to dissect, but that's beyond your capabilities.

Keep believing that I actually said those things though. If you want to continue to put words in my mouth, please do so. Thanks for reminding me though that I should also remember Piazza for some of the more overhyped instances in baseball history (the Clemens "showdowns").
