Re: Roster Editing FAQ

Is J. Contreras the 84(I think) rated SP on the Yankees?

    I assume he is.

      Re: Roster Editing FAQ

I just wanted to note something that was pointed out by another poster last night, and that I have confirmed:

Even if a name is edited, the announcers will refer to the player by his original name in the game. If you edit Brady to be Contreras, he will still be referred to as "Ed Brady" in the commentary. Certainly not even close a gamekiller, but if you're playing as the Yanks, or against them a lot, it might get ... annoying.

You might be better off creating new players with the same attributes, then releasing the fictional players.

If you want to edit lineups and rotations, you should start a season with your roster, take control of all 30 teams, and edit lineups and rotations as you see fit. You can then continue editing rosters within Season mode (Setup -> Edit Rosters) or save your season and load it as a roster file from the Roster Manager.

I'm saving my lineup for my team under Roster Manager and Season (setup->edit rosters), but after loading either file to use in an exhibition, they appear shuffled. The player edits remain as saved, but the lineups and subs do not. The strange thing is that if I don't save at all, the lineups appear the same each time I play, but after any saves, they become randomized.

Yes, but his height/weight should be 6'4"/225 lbs. It doesn't make any difference in appearance since there is no player scaling, but you may like to have accurate profiles. In addition, it doesn't look like he'll be a starter when the season begins, so you can change his role to reliever and Jeff Weaver's to the #5 starter. Actually, there is a chance that Contreras might start off in the minors.

Sorry 'bout that Piniero, I could have sworn Iooked for Camerion (who happens to match up size/age wise with that guy) like 3 times on the Mariners.

Fixed above. I just went back and re-checked over the other edits. They seem to be okay.

Dyskant is a CF, um.. snelling is in the game as a minor leaguer. I am no clue who would it be. Could be shin shoo coo who played in class a but is regarded as 1 of the best OF prospects in baseball or jamal strong who played in double A in 02 and is a good OF prospect. I have no clue

                              maybe fat pitcher knows.
