Has anyone else had injuries when play a game, not simming. I had no one on, playing SF, Santiago got a hit, and was at first and stopped. The next thing I see is the injury screen, with him on his back at home, and guys around him. (No BIG deal that he is at home, when the runner ‘radar’ had him at first, it is only graphical after all). I go to my injured screen and sub my backup catcher for Santiago. Now the problem I go back to the game, and I have no runner at 1st. the pitcher (the next guy due up) is at the plate, and it is 0-0 with no outs. My runner is gone, nothing. After the inning, it ended up costing me a run (the pitcher got a hit, but was stranded at 3rd at the end of the inning).
Now, has anyone seen this? Or more importantly, has anyone seen this with runners on? Will it wipe out all my runners on base? What if there are outs? Will it wipe the outs out also? Maybe reset the inning? Or because there are runners on, the flags are set correctly and the runners stay, the replaced player is on base at the correct position and all is well? If it is just solo guy, no out bug, no biggie, I can live with it. If it wipes out an inning, I guess I would have to “save the game” and go back to the last completed inning, but that will wipe out the injured player, at that point, what is the point of having injuries turned on?
Fat Pitcher? Any insight on what the parameters of this big is?
Over all WSB2k3 is AWESOME!! I am hitting with no cursor, but I think I may go back to cursor mode. I am 1-2 in a franchise (SF) and gave up 13 HR’s to the Padres on opening weekend, and hit only 1 myself. I think I will try going back to cursor to hit the power swing during hitters counts and see if I can up that, but on the plus side, I have struck out LESS than I did last year, and hit a ton of foul balls.
Love this game, but this in the only thing I really have seen that is ‘bad’. I have heard some audio things (CPU is leading, runner at 2nd and the CPU is up, they announcing that this batter represents the tying run. Ahhh…no, but oh well, doesn’t hurt game play.)

He was on his back groveling in pain, kinda reminded me of The Sandlot when the kid caught the ball near his face and got the shiner.
