    Re: Stealing Bug

I've continued to play and evaluate the stealing problem moving the level up to Legends and increasing the pitch speed to very fast. Bottom line, stealing is simply too easy. Even if you see an occasional throw out at second, very slow runners steal successfully far too often. There is no workaround other than limiting yourself to only stealing with legitimate base stealers. Unfortunately, even by limiting yourself, you know that a fast runner will steal 2nd everytime. To me, this is simply unacceptable considering this was a problem with the game last year.

Overall, the game looks great, sounds great, and plays great. Still, how could this problem not be addressed. When will companies learn that games can have all the bells and whistles in the world, but when it comes to baseball games gameplay is what matters most.

      Re: Stealing Bug

I played around with this quite a bit last night, and on fastest pitching, only stealing with players who had 15 steals or more last season, I was successful on 28 of 37 attempts. That's with "base-stealers" only, not slow lumbering guys.

Just to see, I tried to see how many bases I could swipe with catchers running the bases. I was successful 5 of 30 with guys like Benito Santiago, Javy Lopez, Mike Matheny, etc. running the bases.

Try lowering the steal ratings and run speed of all your players.
