If Soriano wouldn't stand over the plate, he wouldn't of gotten hit. I do applaud him for taking it like a man and not wearing a full arm protection like Bonds.
I dont care if you applaud him. Actually, as Ive presented, if he didnt play against the Braves his chances of getting hit drastically decrease. Again its 1 per 7 vs. 1 per 52.

Anyway you are using an extremely small sample size so how about how many times he was hit the year he played for the Nats when he saw the Braves a lot more.
Its not really small at all because by looking at what happens against every other team, it provides a benchmark for what happens against Atlanta...and considering you already know one of the times game after Soriano hit 3 HRs off of Atlanta, its pretty obvious that something dubious is going on.

I'm sure they have accounted for a small % of the games the Cubs have played and yet they account for (gasp) 50% of his HBP...they must have something against him and be dirty.
Look at last year as well. Ive already spelled out the disparity last year and this year.

That's because most other teams are scared to pitch inside when they have too. The Braves pitch to the outside a lot and if you are standing over the plate, the outside is covered. The Braves therefore pitch him inside so he will backup or get hit. Braves pitchers are taught to never give in, if he doesn't move, then he will continue to get hit and thing like this will happen.

I don't get why this thread is still going. Braves are not the only team in baseball to throw at someone (not saying they did this time), look at the Sox/Rays having their ongoing disagreements but no one posts about either team up to dirty shenanigans.

Its a lost cause when other cub fans dont agree with the OP.. my .2

Braves/Cubs is the biggest rivalry in sports.
