on pro level im hitting 1 or 2 a game average.allstar about the same...well maybe not quit but close.remember to point that stick up

I love the fact that It's hard to hit home runs, in three games with the Reds I have two homers, both with Boone.

I have hit a couple, and only with the big hitters. I don't think the guys that hit less than 20 HRs will be able to hit a home run in this game unless it's simmed, and that's kinda bad. On the other hand, I still have yet to give up a HR against the CPU after playing 20+ games, and that's a little alarming. I don't even fear Bonds, or Sosa as I played a series against each of them and didn't give up one HR, or walk.

Dude to hit homers all you have to do is push up and left or right, depending on where the pitch is. Thats it. i've hit lots of homers doing this on all star level. You just have to have quick reactions on say a fastball to push up and left or right at the same time. Diagonally!!!
You will hit a lot of fly ball outs though if you miss judge where the pitch is though but homers will come if you judge right.

Exactly. Another factor is how good your lineup is---if the CPU can pitch around your stars to get to the other guys it will. I forget what team I was playing against (I was touring all the stadiums), but the CPU pitched around Jeter every at-bat.

When you reach the all-star game, homers increase a good deal because the CPU comes after you with the pitches. I hit 4 dingers in 3 innings at the 2nd season's all-star game in Houston.

You just have to be really patient and wait for a pitch you can drive, just like real baseball.

I didn't hit any in my first 2 games, but yesterday I hit 3 in my first franchise game (2 with Tejada, one with Erubiel Durazo) and then another one in my 2nd game (Eric Chavez). The key seems to definitely be to hold the stick up and to pull the ball. I have found that you get better results if you simply hold the stick where you want it, then wait for a pitch you can handle. This of course leaves you vulnerable to anything on the outside part of the plate, especially low, but if you want to hit bombs you gotta pick your spots.

Sport, are you just holding the stick straight up or are u holding left,up and right, up depending on if their right handed or left handed batters
