I have both, and I have to give the edge to MVP because I'm finding that I really don't like cursor batting (and the cursor off option in WSB is weak). Also, the pitching meter in MVP is a blast. If you don't mind cursor batting, then you might like WSB better, because WSB has the deeper franchise mode, and tracks year-to-year stats (it sucks that MVP doesn't do this). Actually, I could probably list a bunch of things that WSB does better than MVP, but every time I play WSB, I find myself wishing I was playing MVP. I think its just a lot more fun.

They both have MAJOR flaws but I prefer MVP.

First there are no MAJOR flaws IMO. Yes there are little quirks etc..but all games have them.
WSBB and MVP are both good games. I have played both a lot. In the end I always end up firing up MVP. The game is a blast to play, period. WSBB is a good game also but it just doesn't draw me in right now the way MVP does.
I am torn whether to keep WSBB or not at this point. I love the wall climbs etc.. in WSBB and the franchise mode. After MVP it was VERY hard to play WSBB again using the cursor. If only WSBB had a non cursor mode like HH...
I also have HH but have not opened it yet. If I do get rid of WSBB then I will possibly try HH.
              Just don't know right now.

Re: If youve played both, which do you prefer. MVP or WSB

I totally agree with the posts that enjoyed both WSB and MVP, but found themselves simply wanting to play MVP more....I am also in that group. Primarily, I just feel like the batter/pitcher interface is more involving and dependant on my skill along with the skill attributes of the player. Pitching in WSB has always felt to me like I could rely a little too heavily on the player attributes and my actual strategy was of lesser importance. I almost sweat when pitching in MVP.

Both great games though. I used to be a big cursor fan and still think it can be done effectively (baseball advance does a nice job of mixing timing, guessing and cursor)....but I have jumped to the other side of the fence, MVP just feels more natural to me. Who knows, maybe I am getting old and I just cant line up the damn cursors anymore.

Re: If youve played both, which do you prefer. MVP or WSB

I have ASB, WSB and MVP. After a week of playing all three quite a bit, I prefer WSB. At first I thought MVP was going to be the most enjoyed of the bunch. That is until the flaws started to really get on my nerves.

The bugs, or flaws that are going to make me sell the game are: 1) Outfielders who are in great position to catch a soft fly dive out of the way of the ball. 2) Deep right field singles have ended with the batter being thrown out at first base. 3) On several occasions I've had a batter send a shot off of the pitcher only to have the ball then carom to the SS, who then boots it, get picked up by the second baseman and still throw out the guy at first.

MVP is a major improvement over Triple Play but I still think WSB is the better of the two.

ASB isn't as fun as either IMO. It just feels wrong to me. Especially the fielding.
