nice try, I really don't care about football, so that did nothing for me.

I'm going to take the higher road, and not sink to your dirt throwing level

Don't worry about it dude. He's just throwing out a completely irrelevant reason to piss you off. That's how New York fans always act when it comes to a Red Sox Yankee discussion. Don't let it get to you, this dude is just being ignorant.

I know....had a nice comeback all typed out, but I decided to take the high road.

What a game. Pretty fun to watch. A lot of people left really early, then after every extra inning more and more left. Great game, kind of pissed about not being able to see Lincecum, LAME. Didn't see McCann bat up either. Great All-Star Game and Derby, and it was for free.

What time did the game end? Oh and if Dan Uggla doesn't turn into another Chuck Knoblauch i'll be damn surprised.

Meh, it really hasn't had that much of an impact on the World Series, considering that most of them have been lopsided since the rule was enacted in 2003 and that the AL team usually had the better record anyways.

Expand the rosters again? For real? For a situation that happens this rarely, no way.

I do, however, think that if a team doesn't want their pitcher used, an alternate should be selected. Otherwise it puts the managers in such a tough spot, because they can use the pitcher but feel hesitant about doing so.

Maybe a few of the starters after Sheets and Lee could have gone more than one inning (although even guys like Volquez and Dempster were limited after pitching over the weekend).

I agree, if don't want your pitcher used then select someone else and have the original guy sit in the bullpen the whole game and just watch the game.

I don't think it'd be a bad idea to have one alternate SP on each team that can only be brought in in extra innings.

I think they should keep 3 or 4 of the pitchers from the futures game, and if that situation happens then they can be used, if not, nobody really missed seeing them.

Was anyone else looking forward to having a position player ultimately decide homefield advantage in the World Series by coming in to pitch?

I was, until that no good piece of trash Brad Lidge showed how much he sucks.
