Just played my second game with CPU BA 45, BB 75, BE 60...

Got destroyed with my ace on the mound...We're talking like 23 hits here..

Seems like the CPU takes a couple of games to adjust to new sliders or something...

Anyways, stilts, I'm trying 40, 75, 55 again with HVP...I'll let you know how it goes.

I don;t know about you guys, but CPU BA at 37 is perfect. YOu get games with low hits and some with high. it's still difficult and you still have to respect the CPU hitting.

At 40 I don't think you can get a low scoring CPU game...you can prove me wrong by trying the CPU BA at 40 or 45 at be the Yankees or Pedro and play some poor hitting team like the D-Rays or TIgers. If I'm correct they'll get at least 8-12 hits before the game is over.

i only gave up 3 runs in my last game against the angels, on 9 hits... not too shabby.

Yea, but have you had a 2 hit game? I'd like to know if that's possible. The average team gave up 4-8 hits per game. If you're a good team you should be (on average) near 4 hits per game. It's ok to give up 8 or more, but there has to be games where you give up only 2-4 to counterbalance that out. I'm not sure if CPU BA at 40 will do that. Maybe I'm wrong.

Maddux threw 76 pitches through 7 innings last night, 54 for strikes, so maybe some of the games we have low pitch counts in are relistic as long as there are games where the pitch counts are much higher! For instance, I played the Blue Jays the other night and they threw 152 pitches! As long as the pitch counts vary, I am satisfied!

I also agree that it seems like the AI pitchers groove too many pitches on HVP, even good pitchers IMO! I am liking Stilts sliders though, but using the Yankees seems a little easy b/c their line-up is murder on pitching!

You DO know that you can have different settings for the CPU Variable pitching and yours, RIGHT?

In game, pause and go to team options. Hit Square, and you can toggle the Home and Away team options.....
