CPU PA - 100, MVP
CPU BA - 30
CPU BE(B) - 90
CPU BE(S) - 85
CPU TS - 1
CPU SB - 40

I'm at:
small batting cursor - the reason is because when I was using very small I felt that I was striking out way to much, but once I become a better hitter (ie if I'm getting way too many hits and Hrs per game) then I'm drop it back to very small.

no Kzone, pitch cursor off, no pitch preview, no vibration

Right now, I'm a pretty poor hitter...I'm playing with a medium cursor and medium speed with CPU Pitching at 90.

Do you think I should stick with this approach or play with fast pitching, small cursor and CPU Pitching much lower?

How much does the CPU Pitching ability affect the pitching? Would someone who finds a small cursor really tough to hit, find it much easier if this slider was put down?

Millwood(2-1) P-S: 63-46, 6K, 1BB
Graves(1-1) P-S: 73-52, 5K, 1BB Note: should have been 3-4 Ks because I still swing at too many balls still

Game highlights: Reds got on scoreboard first by an RBI couble by Casey in the 1st inn.
Then it was all Phillies: Rollins hit a 2run triple in the 6th inn and Abreu hit a 2 run Hr in the 9th inn. for a 4-1 Phillies win.
Abreu is hot right now has hit 4 Hrs in last 3 games. Two games ago he hit 3 Hrs in one game and had one today.

Brief Slider Review
Pros: I liked the hit count today. I know that I can minimize the CPU hitting without getting too many Ks. This was a good game for that. I was also shut out in terms of hits as well. Although it wasn't low, it wasn't extremly high either. I'm used to 9-12 per game before that.
Cons: Either I was having a very good pitching day, but I ony threw 17 balls.

Final comments:
I'm leaning towards lowering my batting cursor since it's become routine to hit every game.
Also, if my pitch counts don't improve, and maybe it was because I was playing Millwood, but if I keep throwing only 15 balls per game, I'm going to have to raise the CPU BA to 35 so that I'm forced to throw balls more.

jyd, that's a good question because I faced that same problem and still do in this game. I'd say stick with what you have right now until you get better.

The game should be fun for you first and then when it gets easy make it harder. I'd find this the best way to improve and enjoy the game longer.

Thanks WSBfanatic...I'm definitely enjoying this game...I'm playing around .500 ball with a .297 team ba and 4.25 era after about 40 games....

My average is going down as I move from the large cursor to the medium one...

I think we're probably on the same page with pitching...Mine are at:

CPU hitting 35
CPU balls 90
CPU strikes 75

no cursor, no vibration, MVP

My games are pretty low scoring- about 3 or 4 runs per team each game. Hits are usually between 8-12.

I would also recommend that people don't get too caught up with the sliders...I know its easy to come on these boards and want to find all the answers...but the key is just to play, have fun and go from there.
