BTW, I do not use pitch cursor, people recommended that it should be turned off to lower the amount of Ks I get on the CPU. How many K's are you getting per game?

heare you hitting any homeruns with the o's.Im not hitting thang. nd how do you stike out on timed hitting? I cant see a way to strike out n timed hitting unless its on very fast and that would only be to power pitchers

With the CPU pitching set at 100, very fast pitch speed, med. var. pitch they are able to paint the corners on me. I get pretty deep into every count but at some point or another I take a stike looking or I wiff on a change-up outside after a number of inside fastballs. I think with these setting the pitchers really try to work the count and there just seems to be more 'thought' to the CPU pitching.

As for hitting HR's with the O's, it ain't EZ. I picked up Lankford from the free agency pool and he's got 9hr's for me. I really don't want to trade for a power hitter cuz I want to make this as true to life as possible so I'm just going after cheap free agents until later in the season.

Why does everyone have CPU batting average so low? I'm playing on Legend with CPU batting at 60 with batting eyes strikes at 60 and batting eye balls at 70. If I turn the batting eyes up any further I never, ever get realistic pitch counts becuase the batter always swings at the strikes. And not to mention NEVER takes a strike if its up that high.

I think that a lot of people aren't using the cursor or vibration. If you have everything off and have the CPU batting that high, I think that there must be around 15 hits a game or so...Also, if you have an average staff (not the Yanks for example), you will get rocked pretty hard.

The CPU pitch counts were off because I am still a pretty poor hitter, and I swing at a lot of first pitches and pitches off the plate. The CPU batting was great, they chased and took pitches pretty realisticly, although I only walked 1 batter. It was a pretty tense game, I had two runners in scoring position in the top of the 9th but Green struck out.

I played a few other games also, and all the results were pretty good, the highest scoring game so far was an Exhibition with ATL and MTL, which ended 7-4.

Ok I Just finished a game with the Phillies and Pirates.

Philles 3 10 0
Pirates 0 2 0

I didn't write down the specifics, but I had 3 K's and they had 4. There were about 2 BBs issued for each team as well. Tome had a Hr.

IMO, it appeared that the CPU was having trouble hitting off me, but I do know for a fact that they can really explode as they have done before. The reason for the 2 hit shutout was the fact that I actually was very careful with my pitches. I tried not to pitch to Giles, but threw mostly balls to him. Also, When Duckworth had half of his stamina I decided to pull him out after he allowed a double in the middle of the 5th when I had a 2-0 lead. Before I would keep him in there so that he can finish the inning only to realize that I should have pulled him out after they had scored 3 runs on him.

Therefore, they key to holding onto leads is to really, really be careful with your pitches, that is you have to know who your pitching to and how you're going to do it, and don't leave your pitcher in there when he's even half tired, unless you have a 10-0 lead.

Just my .02 I'll give more update later on, but I'm liking this right now. Although the score was low I know that I can explode with runs and so can they since it happened before.
