The ball physics are really startin to bug me in this game...

Im starting to enjoy the realistic gameplay and baseball flow in HH but Am I the only that notices how off the ball physics in flight are?......I remember playing front Page Baseball and when you got a hold of one and drove it into the gap it felt so real....In HH, balls are either over blooped for singles or extra basehits are these low screaming line drives that go into the gap and much too fast....the trajectory is all wrong.....balls should cut high thru the air and come down more realistically.

    This is really buggin me.....

I think your observation is quite trivial because HH 2004 does so many things well. The batting/ pitching interface and AI are surperior to the other baseball games IMHO. So you must look at the big picture, all the other games have issues as well. If you expect perfection in video games, you will ALWAYS be disappointed.

HH04 is perfect, I see no issues at all.

I dont see how you think the pitching/batting in this game is superior to anything else...have u played MVP?....at least you have to really participate in the gameplay to achieve results...In HH, its just aim to a section and throw. Very simplified if you ask me compared to some other games, especially MVP. But I do think HH plays more realistic baseball on the field other than that....it just feels like the engine is so old and there isnt much in terms of animation variety. Every play seems to only have one type of animation...it starts to feel very repetitive over time which makes the game feel a bit stale to me.

But Im trying to like it

MVP pitching and hitting interface better than HH, Why just because it has the field goal meter when you are pitching? What happens once you master that?

Hitting in MVP leaves me completely uninterested, In HH I am always thinking of what pitch will come next. Orlando Hernandez laid the EL Droppo on me last night, totally confused me and the cool thing in a 110 pitch outing he used it only once.

The ball physics could be improved, but WSB and MVP have their fair share of issues in this regard as well. Oh so does ASB, MLB2004 seems pretty decent in this regard but I need to play it more.

Cook, I really think you should spend more time with MVP. The meter really can't be mastered to the point where it hurts the game. The batting is very strategic. It is not just a swing and you will hit it. You have to know the situation etc... When to try and pull it...push it etc...It takes into account your hot and cold zones..how you swing etc...
It is a very fun interface, IMO.
