it looks like I have to wait for a mistake for me to hit a homer, which means even if it's in my power zone and I got it timed to a tee, I won't hit a homer with an average powered guy.

in fact, I think hitting homers in this game is more realistic than any other game I ever played...it doesnt feel as random...you really have to work for it and get the right pitch applied with the right type of swing to jack one...it feels very good.

Well said. In other games it's as though there is some equation behind the scenes and ever 38th time there is a dinger.Comment

Re: Homeruns: The Truth
The ammounts of homeruns in this game are very realistic. Everytime I make a mistake it usually ends up 3 miles away same thing when the computer makes one. I've only hit 3 or 4 homeruns without it being a mistake pitch though which makes it extremely realistic because you wont hit a homerun on a perfectly placed pitch most of the time. And the computer has only hit 1 homerun off of me without it being a mistake I just threw a fastball down the middle first pitch and he made me pay. Only worrie that I have is im 49 games into my franchise and Sweeney is leading the majors with 33 homeruns, I'm finding I get a mistake pitch thrown by the pitcher almost every at bat to him and so its boosting his HR count alot. Im playing on All-Pro as well.Comment
