Re: Just pure frustration with pitcher subs

I think if enough guys are complaining about it, then it is happening. It doesn't sound like there are fanboys of other games "making this up." It is a bug and will need to be addressed next year. Again, I have been reading a lot of posts, and it just seems that people are having problems with both MVP and WSB. It is up to the consumer though to decide whether he can play with these bugs/glitches.

It's there, it's not a big deal to me, but it's there. The cpu does yank the starting pitcher prematurely sometimes.

Prematurely yes but not in the first inning like some of these people are saying. 2/3 of an inning. Give me a [censored] brake.

Like I said pay attention to your pitchers stamina. Look at your rotation before a game in franchise mode, you will see some of your picthers are not fully rested and need to rest.

They're not talking about their pitchers. They are talking about the opposing pitcher. I think you're a bit confused. And also, i did knock out Bartolo Colon in the first inning of one game, but i had 5 runs with no outs and runners still on base, so it wasn't such a crazy move by the cpu to yank him.

Re: Just pure frustration with pitcher subs

I'm not confused. If the opposing pitcher (cpu) is getting hammered in the first inning then it does make sense for the cpu to sub. I've played well over 30 games now and haven't seen the cpu sub a pitcher in the first few innings without giving up any runs.

But I do agree that the cpu does sub a bit prematurely. It really also depends on who is pitching and what their stamina is. Look at the attributes for each pitcher and notice how long each of them stay in the game. (Again this depends on whether their giving up any runs or not.)

You guys are over exaggerating this problem. it's not a big issue for me.

I agree with you Peter. It is maybe a minor problem, but I haven't seen a pitcher get pulled really early without a good reason.

I am just playing exhibition games, and I don't see a big problem here. It must have to do with pitch count, I definitely need more discipline at the plate. If I worked the count better maybe I would see this happen more.

This is nothing to brag about, but I lost a 1-0 game to Detroit where Sparks pitched a complete game shutout against me. So it can happen, at least in exhibition mode.
