Good feedback people ! It certainly goes to show that most people love this game and that Acclaim only needs to fine tune some things. You see and hear different things everytime you play the game. I too agree they need to fix the bat on ball detection some more. I have only 2 games left in my spring trainning with the Yankees, I am sub 500 so far in my spring trainning. Can't wait til opening day !

Hmm...

-I'd like to be able to give my create guys their own ages.
-Some more Expansion Stadiums (and historical stadiums).
-Some fan effects (random stuff the fans might do in the game).

Just wanted you to know that the cpu does attempt pickoff moves and sometimes they do work. One time I was picked off in spring training because my guy was leaning and jumped back to late. Another time I picked off a guy on first as well.

I really enjoy this game, but I am noticing that there are a couple things that could be tweaked.

1) Way too many errors for me, it seems like I commit at least 2 errors a game as well as the cpu. There are way too many bad throw when trying to pick guys off of 1st, maybe it happens 0nce every three times.
2)The CPU hits my batters too often, at least two times a game. Plus they don't get ejected, while I do if I hit two batters even unintentionally
3)NEED TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO SCORE FROM 2ND ON A SINGLE UP THE MIDDLE OR A ROLLER TO RIGHT/LEFT FIELD FOR A FAST RUNNER. This really pisses me off because frankly, lotsa guys can score from 2nd on a single but not in ASB. The outfielders play to shallow and reach the ball too fast. I play with the mariners and even Ichiro cant score on a single ever which is super unrealistic.
4)Slow down the fastballs.

I don't know I think some teams don't always rush from 2nd to home. Sometimes in real baseball they don't always do it. But I guess it's like you said how the CPU plays shallow alot. So that's probabily the problem.... I'm just happy the AI is alot smarter this year.

I don't know I think some teams don't always rush from 2nd to home. Sometimes in real baseball they don't always do it. But I guess it's like you said how the CPU plays shallow alot. So that's probabily the problem.... I'm just happy the AI is alot smarter this year.

errors are very realisitic and happen at realisitic times and situations...maybe your team''s fielding just sux, look to improve your defensive squad rather than tell Acclaim to fix the errors...the errors and amounts are perfect

ALtho I would also like to see more offline throws from the outfield to the plate and also see more variety in the sliding, close plays at a bag and different varieties in the sweep tags.

Also they need to make the baserunners a bit more aggressive at scoring...they seem to easily stop when you simply throw to any base from deep in the outfield!

Also they need to improve the cuttoff handling...using the white xbox button is just too annoying....it should be better designed like a double- click or something like HH does.

Don't heckle me, but most of my errors happen after the play, when the guys safe i just throw it around, but sometimes a player isn't on a base (mostly first) and I get an error. Luckily, the runner doesn't advance!!!

I play with the Seattle Mariners who aren't exactly the TB Devil Rays when it comes to fielding. Carlos Guillen is my shortstop, he may not be marguee but he is a decent fielder. He committed 18 errors last year and 10 errors the year before. So far in my season (12 games in) he has committed 10 errors. Mind you that errors are completely arbitrary and have nothing to do with my skill as a fielder. This in my mind is too many errors. Ichiro, who has had 4 errors in the past two seasons combined, has 3 errors already. Maybe your game is producing "realistic" errors for you, I think errors are realistic, but not at the rate that I (and the computer) are commiting them. Why should I "improve" my defensive squad when they are not playing at the level that they should be?

One thing that I hope they do next year is, make sure that a pitcher never fields a pop fly in the infield. I'm kind've surprised that they haven't gotten this yet, given how many of the small details they got right.
