Could have sworn Hamilton had it locked up by midseason... then a month later it was gonna be Quentin. Now I don't have a damn idea.

Gosh, i hate to say this, but i truly believe K-Rod will win it. Now, i am an Angels fan all the way. I work for them (well, their single A club), I talk about them, and have recorded all their games and K-Rod will most likely come aways with the hardware. The reason? Cliff Lee is going to win the Cy Young hands down. I think players like Halladay may push the envelope a bit, but Lee will def. seal it if he finishes with 23 W's. I think the MVP should not be awarded to pitchers (because hitters cant win Cy young's) but it is what it is.

      K-Rod= MVP AL
      Cliff Lee= Cy Young AL
      Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!

Toss up between ARod and Pedroia for me. If I had to give it to one I guess it would be Pedroia as his team is more successful.

Arod hasn't been that great this year (relatively).

Pedroia by a mile, though the other choices should be Mauer or Morneau.

              1st in AL in VORP
              4 in OBP
              1st in SLG
              1st in OPS

              Don't see the problem.

                Who are your top 3?!

                Nathan, Rivera, and Papelbon?

Right now I'd say it'll be a toss up between Pedroia or one of the Twins' players (Mauer/Morneau)

if rivera didn't get it a few years back, then k-rod definetly doesn't deserve it

I kinda want Kevin Youkilis to win it though I know he has an outside shot at it at best.

This is the fourth or fifth time someone on this forum has falsely claimed that A-Rod leads the AL in VORP when in actuality it is Cliff Lee.

its calculated so much differently though that it isnt even the same stat when comparing pitchers to position players, the pitchers stat is more "value over replacement pitcher"

It doesn't matter. The writers don't care about VORP or any of the other Bill James/Billy Beane money ball stats. They only care about basic stats.
