Re: Anybody who is running a Cubs franchise?

I am playing a 40 Game Season in my Franchise. Right now I am 10-7, the Cardinal's have beat me 3 times .

I am playing on All-Star difficulty, all defaults that come with it, but my players are hitting too well, so I am not sure what to do. My franchise is playing out right, but I am hitting too well, I think I'll look for some better sliders.

Anyways, here are my batters stats.

      Miller: .423 1HR 9RBI
Choi: (Traded to COL - was hitting ~.430)
Helton: (Recieved from COL - on DL - haven't used him)
Je. Giambi: (Traded For - Only played in 1 game so far)
      Hill: .398avg 4RBI 8SB
      Bellhorn: .403avg 3HR 5RBI
      C. Guzman: (Recieved from MIN - Only played 2 times so far)
      Alou: .377avg 5HR 16RBI
      O'Leary: .375avg 1HR 3RBI
      T. Hunter: (Recieved from MIN - Only played 2 times so far)
      Patterson: .487avg 2HR 12RBI 8SB (Leadoff Man)
Sosa: (Torn Ligament 96 Days )
      In 7 Games Sosa...: .387avg 5HR 11RBI

      Pitching:
      Prior: 3G 1W 2L 2.55ERA 21SO 24.2IP
      Wood: 4G 2W 1L 5.21ERA 27SO 27.2IP
      Clement: 4G 3W 1L 2.61ERA 25SO 31IP
      Cruz: 3G 2W 1L 5.3ERA 15SO 18.2IP
      Zambrano: 3G 1W 0L 5.3ERA 14SO 18.2IP
      Alfonseca: 10G 3SV 3SVO 1.86ERA 9SO 9.2IP

Well there you have it. Unfortunately my team has been very injury plagued so far. Patterson is playing very well, and Alou has stepped up a lot the last 3 games, hitting 3 home runs. Many of my bench players have seen a lot of play time due to the injuries. When Sammy comes back I am going to try to deal Hunter and Guzman or Sammy, it depends. I am going to try to find some better sliders before I crank it up to Legend difficulty, because the Cardinals are giving me a hard enough time as it is, and they are in last in the Central!

Once Helton and Sosa are back, my team will have a much needed surge going into playoff time.
