I agree with you heelfan, I like both games a bunch, but ASB definitely gets the nod in franchise mode. Another thing that I don't think WSB has is the immersion factor. When you play a game of ASB it feels like your at the ballpark. The commentators go on and on just like in real life, team specific celebrations are there at certain stadiums iewhen the Rangers hit a homerun at home they play the natural theme)-as a season ticket holder for the past 5 years I can vouch for the authenticity. I haven't seen this at any other park, which is great. The minor leagues are great, waivers are great. All in all, it's a great experience.

This is the thing i am not talking about last years you are comparing this years allstar to last years wsb. this years wsb2k3 is even much deeper and better then last years version which was already great. But you have your opinion and i have mine which is fine i am a baseball freak nut and i think wsb2k3 has a deeper and better franchise and has more to offer and is the best overall baseball game. All the games this year on the market the big 4 are all great games but this year i beleive for the best overall experience of baseball in graphics sound gameplay and announcing/franchise the crown goes to wsb2k3.

thanks guys for answering my post, so what makes a great franchise, being able to hire coaches and give players time off or arbitrition, waivers, rule 5 and when one consider the expansion part of ASB franchise dose that rise it above WSB.

I beleive that it doesnt rise above wsb2k3 franchise. If you are looking for the best franchise wsb2k3 is it even though allstars is still good its just lagging behind wsb. Hope that all helps it was for you LOL

I believe the rule 5 draft, salary arbitration, and waivers make this game truly unique....I've always wanted them to add this into a baseball game and they finally did. I wish the free agent signing period in ASB was like WSB but that is the only thing WSB has that I like. IMO ASB's franchise kicks butt...
