Not only did the Yanks win the final game and actually sweep the final series, but more importantly didn't lose this game to clinch a playoff spot for the Sox.

I didn't really think I was going to care about this game that much, but it was really cool.

I'm glad I saw this, a really fun night, in a disappointing season.

The last home run hit at the original Yankee Stadium was by Duke Sims who was a backup catcher. Now Jose Molina, also the backup catcher, hits the final home run at Yankee Stadium.
