How more direct can you get?

I too have a feeling there will be no extended season play. That's too bad. No excuse why the game shouldn't have one right out of the gate. Look how good Inside Drive is with it. There is simply no replay value (minus the online play). Assuming of course one does not have access to LIVE. It is clearly evident that they are pushing the online component of the game then anything else. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, actually kudos to them for taking advantage of it. Seeing how none of the baseball games are LIVE enabled. But the replay value will suffer IMO without a franchise/career mode of some sort.

Maybe it's something they will add at the last minute.

He could have asked something to the effect I don't see much on a franchise mode will be in this year version?

NBA Inside Drive 2000 didn't have a franchise mode!!

Oh well, this is only their first effort. If it's pathetic so be it. NBA Inside Drive 2002 had no franchise mode or Create a player, now look at 2003. It will probably be very good in 2004, and with all these other Baseball games out there, I can wait.

See, I got out of this that there *is* a franchise mode...otherwise, what's the point of Create-a-Player and saying that he can go from a rookie to a Great in the game? Would you replay the same season over and over again, keeping your stats in a notebook and manually aging him?

I have a friend deep in XBox. I'll ask him when I get the chance, and get an answer.
