HMcCoy- Yes, I do put a premium on the timing. I think if you swing late the ball should go to the opposite field- just like it real baseball. It's just physics. And, I don't think it should be a complete guessing game. I mean, it's ok to look change up and only swing if that's what you get. But to look fastball and still have to guess location... You may see guys get fooled by curves, etc., but I've never seen anybody swing high and inside on a fastball when it was down and away. Have you?

Instead of spending another $50, why not play the game as it was intended to be played instead of going out of your way to find ways to not like it? Most "flaws" people seem to be finding are because people are deliberately playing the game wrong. I'm no programmer, but I'm sure it's hard to plan for every contingency where some person is going to go out of their way to play the game in a way other than intended. "Hmmm...you know, we better make sure we plan against anyone swinging the bat before the pitch is released, because that happens all the time in real life."
