I have minimal experience but it seems pretty good. About an 8 (I am a harsh critic).

You definitely cannot get over on the CPU. I tried trading Geoff Blum (74 rating), Kirk Saarloos (65 rating) and Raul Chavez (Minor League Scrub) to the Marlins for SP Josh Beckett (81 rating). The CPU laughed at me.

I also noticed that the CPU takes it into account when you are trying to dump bad players into a trade. Example- I tried to trade Blum, Chavez, Saarloss and another MInor league scrub to the Cubs for Kyle Farnsworth (72 rated MR). The cpu refused, but accepted when I just offered Blum and Chavez. It seems to realistically evaulate if the need the players you are offering, not just blindly accepting due to numbers or ratings.

I am not sure about CPU to CPU trading during a season, as I have not played very far.

The Padres traded Ryan Klesko to the White Sox for Paul Konerko which seems pretty fair to me and i was offered Eric Chavez for Pat Burrell.

weird pads traded klesko to white sox in my frachinse too but in a deal for olerud(I traded olerud before for konerko)

I'm playing with the Chisox and whenever I ask my GM to make trade suggestions Klesko/Konerko pops up 50% of the time.

I'd give it an 8 also. It seems pretty realistic and I like how the computer GMs announce why they are making moves before they happen, i.e. "GM is tired of losing," "...wants to shake things up..," "thinks [prospect] deserves a shot..." etc.
The only thing about my franchise is that a month in, the Giants traded Bonds to the Twins for their 1B (not sure how to spell his long slavic name...Meinkevitz?) and 2 prospects. This is an ok deal considering Bonds might reitre in approx. 3 years, but I just can't see the Giants ditching their legend.
Overall, though, good trade logic. I've enjoyed working deals to beef up my minor league system. I'm the Phils, and I've kept my lineup intact.

I'm in May of my franchise and there has not been a trade in the league yet.

Lat years WSB Randy Johnson had already been traded by now, MUCH improved in this aspect.
