possible to hit homeruns with normal swing?

I am deciding to get this game only if you can hit a homerun without the power button. I have played 3 games and have yet to hit one out. I dont use the power button and am 3-0. I hope with shawn green and mcgriff and jordan i can hit more than 3 homers a month. PLEASE tell me its done and its realistically done? i use timed hitting so when would you reccomend using power swing? The game is incredible and if homeruns are possible, its perfection. Thanks guys!

Yes, i've hit several using regular contact with Travis Haffner!

Well i'm the Indians so I don't hit many homeruns.....but i'd say it's about 25% more likely for power to contact in terms of percentage you're going to hit. i know that it's hard as heck for me to get the cursor on the ball doing the power swing (i'm old and slow heh) so i don't use it much but when i have then most of the time it's HR. however on contact i've had alot of hits and not alot of homeruns so it's possible but it's not going to happen alot. i think the system works quite well really!

I like to play as the Giants, and I saw Bonds hit one over 450 feet using the contact swing.

yes you can. I play the Phillies franchies, and I hit HR with Burrell, Abraeu, Bryd, Tome. It can be done.

absolutely. I have hit homers on contact swings with guys that usually don't hit a lot of homers such as Jeff Cirillo, John Olerud, and even Ichiro. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

I have never done it...I hope it happens soon! But, I am the Cubs and hit about 1 HR. a game with Sosa using power.

Have you tried cursor hitting? I think that's the best and easiest for hitting.
